We would like to kindly invite you to our webinar titled “How to prepare engineering students to meet the sustainability challenges?” by Assoc. Prof. Klara Kövesi, the coordinator of the A-STEP 2030 Erasmus+ project; with the contributions of EELISA Dean of Studies, Assoc. Prof. Sophie Griveau.
The event will be held online* on Thursday, July 7, 2022, between 15.00-17.00 (CET) / 16.00-18.00 (Istanbul Time). This event is organised by ITU Center for Excellence in Education (ITU CEE) in collaboration with EELISA European University.
There is an increasing awareness of the society, emphasised by the current civilizational crisis all over in Europe, about the urgent need to create a more sustainable world. For developing a sustainable future, the central and determinant role of future engineers is undeniable. However, with a continually growing demand of engineering workforce, industrial and business organisations have more and more difficulties to recruit adequately trained and ready to work graduate engineers. How to attract young talents for engineering? How to prepare this new generation of holistic engineers? What skills and competences they will need to meet the sustainability challenges? The purpose of this event is to offer an overview of recent outcomes of the A-STEP 2030 (Attracting DiverSe Talent to the Engineering Professions of 2030) Erasmus+ project for preparing the engineers of tomorrow to meet SDG’s for a better world.
